A private dog pool for Wiltshire
Hounds & Waves is a private dog swimming pool based on Cheney Manor Industrial Estate in Swindon, serving Swindon and the wider Wiltshire area. The pool is indoors and heated, and every session is booked privately, so it is your dog in the water rather than a group.
Wiltshire is not short of rivers and lakes, and plenty of dogs swim in them happily. What a pool gives you is control: known depth, warm water, a gentle entry, no current, no blue green algae and no cold shock. For a nervous dog, a puppy or an older dog, that difference is the whole thing.
Where our visitors travel from
- Royal Wootton Bassett, ten to fifteen minutes
- Chippenham, around twenty five minutes
- Marlborough, Calne and Corsham, half an hour or so
- Cricklade, Purton, Highworth and Wroughton, all inside twenty minutes
What we do, and what we do not
We are recreational. Swimming for fun, fitness, confidence and enrichment, in warm water, with your dog going at their own pace. We are not a clinical hydrotherapy centre, and if your dog is recovering from surgery or has a diagnosed condition, your vet should be the one directing that. All ages, all breeds
From puppy swims once vaccinations are complete, through to gentle sessions for older dogs whose walks have got shorter. Up to three dogs per session, and you are welcome in the water with them.
